Stopped by here for lunch and I'm sad we didn't come back again before leaving town. We got the carne asada which were absolutely delicious! Customer service is amazing and they have the best salsas! Definitely will be visiting when we're back in town.

Tortilleria Jalisco is one of the many reasons I am so glad to make Sonoma my home. Their tortillas are by far the best tortillas I've ever had. Matter-of-fact they've ruined me. I cannot bring myself to buy tortillas in the grocery stores. Their tortilla chips are also quite binge-worthy as well.
As far as prepared foods I've mostly ventured into the tacos which are quite tasty. I prefer either the chicken tacos or pastors. For a quick cheap meal or a later night nosh- this is the place. -

Stopped in for lunch and check the place out after seeing it in Yelp's top rated cheap eats.
We tried a variety of tacos 5 in all the carnitas and carne asada tacos were good, but honestly nothing outstanding to my palate. I also tried the lengua tacos, really hoping they would be top of the charts flavor wise, but again disappointing. You don't see lengua offered that much and its great when cooked properly extremely tender with a sweet meat flavor. Unfortunately that wasn't the case, the meat was very tender but missing the flavor of properly prepared lengua that I'm used to.
The tortillas were excellent, very fresh and tasty, but overall they couldn't make up for the lackluster flavors of the meats.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, but again, there's better taquerias in the area that I'd choose above Tortilleria Jalisco. -

This is a review for the tortillas and only the tortillas as I've eaten here before and it was pretty meh. That said, in my opinion the tortillas are the best in the bay area!
Do yourself a favor and while in the area just stop by for some of these grab and go beauties. They are $3.50 for 10 tortillas and I'd recommend going earlier than later as they have been known to sell out. It's the quesadilla that I get to make at home that is just so damn good because of the quality of this product. I'd imagine that they use lard in the process, otherwise they would be so tasty. Vegans need not apply...sorry! -

My friend had been telling me this place has the best tacos around for over a year and I had been telling her another place had the best for over a year. Well to be fair they are tied. And the place I was talking about was El Roy's in Petaluma. I'm sure many people would hate on me for saying that, but I do not care. Now El Roy's still holds their place with me for my favorite taco ever. (Their shrimp tacos). But here, just about everything else is better. Asada was absolutely bursting with flavor. Also had cabeza. Equally as amazing. And for just $2.00 per taco, you won't break the bank at all. In fact you'll be wishing your appetite was strong enough to take down even more tacos. I hated that this place doesn't open till 6:30, but it's worth the wait. Easy 5 out of 5.
